Eight U16 Watford Players represent the East Region this weekend...

Lead by Watford coach Adam Page & Captained by Rishi Patel head to the Sir Jason Kenny Centre for the 2024 U16 Div Two Inter-Regional Championships.

The Region are drawn in Grp B alongside North-East Steelers & Wales, with the London Sharks, East Midlands & Scotland making up the other group of three.
The matches begin on Saturday afternoon with each match 4 quarters of eight minutes and with the Championships getting underway in Grp B as NE Steelers play Wales.
East starts their campaign for promotion to Div One against the Steelers after London Sharks have played East Midlands.
East then finish their group games with a match against Wales and the team will need to finish top of their group if they do want to secure their dream of promotion into Division One for next season.
Sunday morning will see the third-place sides from each group play-off to determine the 5th/6th place finish, followed by the two second placed sides battling it out for 3rd/4th place finishes.
The final between the 1st placed teams kicks off at 11.30am and Coach Adam is hopefully his side can make it, following the final practice session Adam had this to say about his sides chances this weekend…
“I am going into this weekend feeling confident with the training we have been having against the Watford U18’s on Friday nights, We know it won’t be easy but we are confident in our own abilities that we can come out on top with the experience the majority of the players have had in high pressure situations in the past. We go with confidence but are humble and are prepared to learn”.
