The day began with Saxons top of the qualification table on five points after Saturday's penalty win over @otter_waterpolo & a 17-16 win over @rotherhammetrowpc however defeat to Army and an Otter win over Rotherham would see the Saxons slip to third in table and miss out on qualification all together.
The game began with Saxons getting off to the perfect start as ilija Crompton opened the scoring however it was Army that soon took control as they established a 1-4 1st Qtr lead.
The 2nd Qtr saw nine goals with Army increasing their lead at 1-5 before Rishi Patel pulled a goal back for 2-5. Army then scored again but Sam Carling responded for 3-6.

We weren't to know at the time but this was Army's last goal of the game with 13 minutes remaining as Saxons hit six unanswered goals to win an Epic match 12-10.
A penalty converted by Gethin Dorrington penalty moved score to 7-10 end of third period.
Final quarter and our Saxons had a big mountain to climb but take it one step at a time it becomes easy and that's what happened.
First Niko Obradovic then another Gethin goal had us within one at 9-10.
ilija hit his fourth of the game and twelfth over the three matches to level the game at 10-10.
With 1.16 of the game remaining Sam Carling put the Saxons in front for the first time in the match at 11-10.
