This season's U12's Winter League will once again be a very competitive league with seven teams entered, playing each other four times over four different venues with the opening weekend held at Whitgift School.

Our opening game was against Beckenham, the team started the game with a Full-press to try and win the ball high up the pitch and this worked to perfection as in the first half we turned over possession and scored four unanswered goals.

Into the second half and we controlled the game stopping Beckenham finding a route to goal and when they did they came up against some fantastic goal-keeping from Fliip who played well all afternoon. Final result v Beckenham 5-1 a good start.

Next up was Hillingdon who we beat 8-2 again the full press worked and with Ronan in defence tidying up any loose balls, we were also in control.

Our third game was against Lewisham who took a surprise early lead and gave us a real hard match but again our forward play was excellent and we took our chances to win the match 5-2.

With West London Penguin Latymer not able to field a team for Sunday's tournament a victory was awarded so our final game of the afternoon was against a mixed team from Hythe & Faversham.

Once again our full-press gave us the chance to regain possession and stop the opposition attacks and we won the match comfortably 7-0.

Overall it was a great afternoon's polo for this young team and with several players making their first appearance they had a great time.
